2008 OH&S Innovation Awards
Proudly sponsored by MLA and AMPC, the OH&S Innovation Award aims to showcase the creative and practical solutions being implemented by organisations to health and safety challenges with a view to promoting their application across the industry.
The 2008 OH&S Innovation Award will be presented at dinner on 28 October 2008, as part of the 2008 National OH&S Red Meat Industry Conference to be held 28 & 29 October, Sydney Showground, Homebush, Sydney.

MLA regularly consults with a range of producer and expert R&D committees, including SABRC and NABRC, to avoid research duplication and ensure joint approaches to common problems.

- Producer Research Support
MLA producer research support offers funding of up to $15,000 over three years for groups of producers keen to be actively involved in on-farm research and demonstration trials.
- Partners in Innovation
The objective of MLA’s R&D partnership program is to significantly increase the level of investment in R&D by the red meat industry and increase the innovation culture and capability of individual enterprises and the industry as a whole.
- Scholarships
The scholarship program supports students doing postgraduate studies (mostly PhDs) for the three years of their candidature. Upon completion, more than 70% of students supported by this scheme continue to work within the meat and livestock industry.
