Creating an NLIS account
The NLIS database is administered by NLIS Ltd, a subsidiary of MLA.
To record livestock movements and other transactions on the database, you must have a database account, or authorise someone else to record transactions on your behalf. Even if you do this, you should have an account so you can check that the database information for your property is correct.
Once you have created an account you will be issued with an NLIS user ID and password and a NLIS user guide will be posted to you.
NLIS database
The NLIS database records livestock movements and run reports for your property.
NLIS Helpdesk
The NLIS Helpdesk operates from Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm AEST.
If your query relates to PIC registration, NLIS regulations or ordering devices, contact your State or Territory authority.
If your query relates to live export or the European Union Cattle Accreditation Scheme (EUCAS) contact the AQIS.
