Sheepmeat
Sheepmeat is not a major part of the Korean diet and is considered a niche market and includes specific lamb restaurants, fine dining and restaurants operated by ethnic communities.
Australia supplies approximately 80% of total Korean sheepmeat demand. Lamb exports (predominantly frozen) have remained fairly steady with Australian lamb export volumes between 900 - 2,000 tonnes swt annually over the last decade with the majority of cuts consisting of manufacturing shoulder.
Mutton exports (exclusively frozen) to Korea over the last decade have consisted of manufacturing product and carcases.
