Sheepmeat


Sheepmeat is not a major part of the Korean diet and is considered a niche market and includes specific lamb restaurants, fine dining and restaurants.

However, Australian sheepmeat exports to Korea have increased steadily for the past four years, with the 2013 volume at 4,167 tonnes swt. The second highest annual exports comprised of the largest lamb exports, at 3,175 tonnes swt, and 992 tonnes swt of mutton (up 4% year-on-year).
