Sheepmeat


Sheepmeat is not a major part of the Korean diet and is considered a niche market and includes specific lamb restaurants, fine dining and restaurants.

However, Australian sheepmeat exports to Korea have increased steadily for the past five years, with the 2014 volume at 6,114 tonnes swt.

Lamb exports reached 4,837 tonnes swt in 2014, up 52% on the previous year, while mutton exports were 29% higher, at 1,277 tonnes swt.
