Producer demonstration sites


MLA's producer demonstration sites (PDS) program supports producer groups and extension staff to demonstrate, develop and adopt MLA research findings and technologies as well as seek research and development solutions to on-farm problems.

Through the PDS program, producers are provided with a practical, hands on environment that enables them to share experiences and participate in the commercial application of research outputs in the following areas:

What funding is available?

Funding is available to groups of producers who wish to undertake investigations to generate new, or validate existing, research and development knowledge. These grants are specifically aimed at supporting producers advance the sustainable and profitable production of red meat.

Northern beef projects can apply for funding grants of up to $20,000 over a maximum of three years.

Southern beef, lamb and sheepmeat projects can apply for funding of up to $20,000 per year for a maximum of three years.
