LPA Accredited now the way to trade

The March deadline for moving from “Provisional” to “Accredited” with Livestock Production Assurance (LPA) has now passed.

Those that have moved to Accredited can still use the provisional NVD forms if they have some remaining however it is advisable to check with your selling agent or your buyer as to which form is preferred.

All those producers that have not moved to accredited now show as “Not Accredited” on the LPA database and are not able to use provisional NVDs to sell stock.

You are still able to become Accredited in LPA even if you missed the 1 March 2008 date.

To do this call 1800 683 111 and choose option 2 or log on to the website www.mla.com.au/lqs and use the link on the right hand side of the page “Manage your LPA Profile” . If you do not know your LPA number and/or Password to log on you can email: lpa@mla.com.au

Goat registrations on the LPA database have continued to grow reflecting the growth of the Australian goat industry. The table below indicates where the 7,505 goat Property Identification Codes (PICs) are on a state by state basis.
