·         NVD price rise

Livestock producers are advised that the price of national vendor declarations (NVDs) increased as of 1 July 2009. The price increase represents the first increase since commencement of the livestock production assurance (LPA) program in 2004.

As of 1 July 2009, the price of NVDs will be as follows:

Description	Unit Size	Price (inc GST)	Equivalent price per form (inc GST)
Hard copy NVDs	Booklet of 20 NVDs	$33.00	$1.65
Electronic NVDs (Producer)	Bundle of 20 tokens	$19.80	$0.99

For fast and efficient processing of NVD orders, producers are encouraged to place their orders online (www.ausmeat.com.au/lpa/Login.aspx) and to have their credit card details at hand.

Producers are also encouraged to take advantage of the significant cost savings (40% discount) available through the use of the electronic NVDs via the Producer eDEC program.  Electronic NVDs are available for cattle, EU cattle, sheep, goats and bobby calves.  To register for the Producer eDEC program, login to your LPA user profile and select the Producer eDEC button and then follow the prompts.

Note: The cover price of sheep NVDs (hard copy and electronic) is being funded from sheep and lamb industry reserves in accordance with current Sheepmeat Council of Australia (SCA) policy.
