Obtaining an NVD/Waybill

To ensure the integrity of the NVD/Waybills as a legal document, they are issued to individual producers who hold a current Property Identification Code (PIC) or tail tag number.

If you do not have a PIC you will need to contact your State Department of Agriculture/Primary Industries or Rural Lands Protection Board (RLPB) and obtain a PIC from them. Their numbers are listed in the Contacts page.

NVD/Waybills cost $27.50 (including GST) per book of 20 forms. Cattle Council of Australia, Australian Lot Feeders Association, and Goat Industry Council of Australia have agreed that NVD/Waybills for their respective species will be provided on a user-pays basis. The Sheepmeat Council of Australia has agreed to fund the costs of their NVD/Waybills out of current industry levies. This policy is to be reviewed in 2007.

Electronic NVD Waybills are available

If you are using large quantities of the NVD Waybill you are encouraged to take advantage of the electronic NVD/Waybill or eDEC™. The eDEC™ is provided at a cost to users.
