- environment and feedbase development and management
- improving animal and herd productivity, and
- improving supply chain efficiency
To ensure that this program addresses issues and exploits opportunities of importance to southern beef producers, MLA consults on an ongoing basis with the CCA affiliate the Southern Australian Beef Research Committee (SABRC).
Together the MLA and SABRC oversee the planning and execution of Southern Beef projects. More information on SABRC is available in the R&D section of this website.
MLA ensures valuable information and tools are available for producer's to access and use. Launched in 2004 MLA's More Beef from Pastures program runs events throughout Southern Australia and is made up of practical tips and tools, the producer's manual and a coordinators network.
