Domestic markets
An important service offered by MLA is the National Livestock Reporting Service (NLRS). Through its network of livestock market officers, the NLRS collects market data from the key auction and direct markets across Australia, in addition to slaughter statistics, wholesale, skin and hide prices.
Available reports
MLA members can receive four NLRS saleyard and/or over-the-hooks reports per week by email free of charge.
Reports are also available online in the National Livestock Reporting Service (NLRS) section of the website.

Weekly livestock indicators

The latest price indicators for each state. All indicators are seven-day rolling averages derived from NLRS reported saleyards, and include the Eastern Young Cattle Indicator, trade cattle, Japan ox, manufacturing cow, feeder steer, trade and export lamb, mutton and ewe. |
