Cattle and sheep indicators are weighted averages and are calculated daily as a 7 day moving average price. Livestock categories are selected from all NLRS reported saleyards in NSW, Victoria, SA and QLD.
Data on pork and bacon grades is sourced directly from industry and is the average, eastern states price (NSW, Victoria, SA and QLD) from the NLRS over-the-hooks reports for the current week.
Prices for cattle are reported in c/kg live-weight. Sheep, lamb, pork and bacon prices are quoted in c/kg carcase weight.
