MLA's NLRS provides an independent source of livestock market data, collected directly from major prime and store markets. Our livestock market officers attend 74 physical markets each week, producing detailed and summary reports for each market, available for download from the website.

  • MLA members are entitled to download 100 free detailed reports per year.
  • MLA members can receive four NLRS saleyard and/or over-the-hooks reports per week by email free of charge.

How to view NLRS market reports online

Detailed saleyard reports
Detailed saleyard reports contain an analysis of market trends and comprehensive prices and are available as downloadable PDFs. Here's an example of a detailed market report (PDF, 48KB).

MLA members are entitled to 100 free detailed reports per year. Non-members must purchase credit before viewing the reports, which are charged at $3.00 each.

To access reports or purchase credit, you need to log in to the website. Once you have logged in, go to Cattle reports or Sheep reports to download reports and view your account details.

Summary saleyard reports provide an overview of market trends and key indicator prices and are available online for free for cattle and sheep markets.
