Given the significant impact that retailers and foodservice operators have on consumer meal decisions, and that beef and lamb face very strong competition from other categories within these outlets, it is necessary to encourage and support the evolution in red meat retailing and restaurant practice.

MLA's state based Business Development Managers provide on going assistance to both Retail and Foodservice sectors to raise industry standards in areas such as food safety, presentaion, red meat quality, customer service, and staff knowledge.
