MLA is offering up to $20,000 to northern beef producers and partner organisations over a two-to-three year period to undertake demonstration site projects.
Proposals for funds can submitted to MLA at any time throughout the year after being endorsed by the local Regional Beef Research Committee.
Who can undertake a Producer Demonstration Site project?
Producer Demonstration Site projects are aimed at groups of beef producers and partner organisations throughout Queensland, the Northern Territory and the Kimberley and Pilbara regions of Western Australia.
Supporting organisations can include State Departments of Primary Industry, Departments of Natural Resources, CSIRO, Universities and private consultants.
Why do we have Producer Demonstration Site projects?
The purpose of Producer Demonstration Site projects is to support groups of beef producers and extension staff to demonstrate, develop and adopt priority research technologies and findings.
Producer Demonstration Sites aim to shorten the time lag between technological innovation and “on ground” use by producers.
Projects ideally should focus on the commercial implementation, validation and adoption of outputs from Northern beef program supported research.
