Priority areas for scientist training are set to meet future requirements of the red meat industries and may include on-farm productivity, sustainability, rangeland management and technology transfer. Specific fields include, but are not limited to:
- Sustainability of production systems including greenhouse gas mitigation;
- Animal disease epidemiology;
- Information sciences as they relate to animal production;
- Genetics or genomics of animals, pasture plants or microoorganisms;
- Social science or other aspects of technology adoption and innovation.
