Results from MLA’s NSW cattle saleyard survey for the 2014-15 selling period saw Dubbo once again secure the top position, with 300,526 head consigned. Wagga Wagga jumped to second spot with 224,644 head, while Carcoar (CTLX) placed third, with 182,135 head. Gunnedah and Forbes placed fourth and fifth. Tamworth, Inverell, Casino and Scone all secured top ten places. Moss Vale rounded out the top ten at 58,321 head.

Sheep

MLA’s 2014-15 NSW sheep and lamb saleyard survey has been released with 26 saleyards having responded. Wagga Wagga once again took out the top position, with 1,852,667 head yarded. Forbes, Dubbo, Corowa and Carcoar (CTLX) all maintained their rankings, at second, third, fourth and fifth. Cowra ranked sixth, with 367,646 head, while Cootamundra was again the big mover this year, up two positions, to seventh and consigning 211,970 head. Tamworth, Deniliquin and Goulburn helped to round out the top ten, with 190,681 head, 184,852 head and 131,600 head, respectively.
