Patchy rain for the eastern states

02 July 2015

Most of the country’s rainfall was recorded along the eastern states this week, with patchy showers across much of NSW and Queensland. Isolated pockets in northern NSW and southern Queensland measured up to 25mm, while the coastal region surrounding Townsville received up to 150mm. Southern Victoria experienced light showers, while the eastern half of Tasmania recorded good falls of up to 50mm. The majority of WA remained dry this week, with only very light rain across the south-west corner of the state.
