Summary
Pastures support livestock production in Australia and globally, and at the same time there are increasing demands for grasslands to provide more environmental services. There are widespread concerns about the extent of grassland degradation and the future ability to provide food and environmental services.
This project provided sponsorship support for the International Grasslands Congress 2013. Management and research opportunities were key issues addressed at this Congress. MLA funded research was targeted for presentation at this congress. Approximately 1000 delegates were expected, with the primary audience being grassland scientists (researchers, extension workers and tertiary students), along with agri-business professionals, policy makers and leading producers.
