Summary
Encompassing the board, executive, finance, legal, human resources, information technology and other MLA funded initiatives, the corporate services business unit provides support services, risk management, governance, budget and planning and reporting functions to MLA management and stakeholders as well as ensuring compliance with statutory and other corporate obligations.
In addition, R&D program delivery costs such as the salary and on-costs of R&D MLA staff, together with travel, telephone and other costs are allocated to business unit specific administration projects for reporting purposes.
These have been grouped together with central corporate services costs for transparency.
Where these services are related to R&D activities, a proportion of producer, processors and other levies are matched with Commonwealth funding and allocated against these R&D support areas. See the Corporate Services area of MLA's Annual Operating Plan for more information.
