Summary

Conducted by Qld Department of Agriculture & Fisheries (DAF), AgForce, Fitzroy Basin Association (FBA). The two day expo program includes guest speakers, trade displays, facilitated workshops, interactive displays and the opportunity for one-on-one discussion with service providers and extension staff. The program will cover grazing land management, animal production, animal health and business management. The expos provide an excellent opportunity for BMP participants to build on plans for business improvement, developed in their Grazing BMP self-assessments. While grazing businesses are the key target audience, service providers and support service groups that will attend the expos are also very important. Building strength and capacity in grass roots beef production is more easily achieved when all who support and service the sector have a unified approach. For this reason, the expos provide a unique opportunity for MLA sponsorship, connecting MLA with not only producers but also those that service the grazing industry.
