Summary

​Currently red meat solutions for meat snacks and fillings is limited to
sliced/shaved deli meats and jerky style products. MLA has recently invested in pulled meats technology and product development initiaitves (A.MPT.0059; P.PSH.0636) which has seen industry uptake and is currently investigating the sandwich filler / spreads category (V.RMH.0061) to seek out high valued opportunities to grow red meat demand.

This report is a brief review of meat floss – defining current andpotential new high valued usages and occasions for Australian red meat.
