Summary

Farmbot have an existing tank level monitor and provide data from that sensor to the producer's phone, tablet or computer. Alerts are used to inform the producer if limits or levels are reached, or if the drop in level is faster than expected.

Farmbot are also developing new sensors it is proposed that the sensor inputs can be combined, trended and analysed to provide useful, timely, data to the producer.

This project was discontinued due to program priorities. The following provides a summary of project deliverables.

Milestone 1:

  • The work included the engagement of the producers, detailing the requirements and the fleshing out of the designs of the deliverables.  We have chosen our producers based on their real needs and experience so that they can provide strong guidance on how to create a system with the greatest value for the industry. Our Analytics development partner has been engaged and provided quotes and indicative design advice.
  • We have workshopped a broad range of our client data samples with machine learning and analytics experts to ensure that our proposed project will deliver the expected benefits.  The quality and depth of our data plus other background information we have provides sound basis for the project.
  • We have analysed the technical implications of our design and confident that it stands a high likelihood of successful implementation.

Milestone 2:

  • The work on this phase included carrying out statistical analysis on a range of Farmbot client datasets (up to 3 years).  This led to the development of the statistical trend and anomaly detection module.  We have had ongoing discussions with customers and trialists about their core needs and our evolving system design and concept.
  • The implementation of the core processing and reporting engine has been completed and is ready for detailed testing and selective trialist review.
  • This phase has confirmed the quality and depth of our water system data across a broad range of customers and provides an excellent basis for the project.
  • We have analysed the technical implications of our design and are confident that it stands a high likelihood of successful implementation.
