CSEP - Solvent free extraction of bioactives (CSIRO)

Through CSIRO, two novel solvent free processes have been developed, one for bovine serum albumin (BSA) extracted from blood plasma and one for chondroitin sulphate (CS) derived from cartilage. The laboratory scale processes had a forecast lower cost than current manufacturing and could aid market entry without sacrificing margin.
