Carbon EDGE

Carbon EDGE

Carbon EDGE is a new two-day training program for the red meat industry, providing participants with an understanding of the opportunities for emissions reduction and carbon storage activities in a livestock grazing business.

As a participant you will use your own information to develop an action plan for your business as you learn about the practices and technologies that could reduce your carbon footprint and improve sustainability and productivity.

The EDGEnetwork is managed by MLA and delivered by experienced service providers to provide research-based independent information for red meat producers. Through a network of accredited Carbon EDGE deliverers, workshops will be delivered across Australia.

MLA will be announcing new workshop dates soon. Register your interest below to keep update with new workshop dates.

Who is the Carbon EDGE program for?

The program is for grassfed beef, sheep and goat producers who are looking to build on their understanding of carbon.

Taking carbon from a concept to an action plan

The program will help participants develop their understanding of carbon and move into a planning and action phase, identifying practices and technologies that could be incorporated into their business to benefit their bottom line and the environment.

It is also suitable for advisors and other service providers looking to enhance their understanding of the current operating environment.

How can I prepare for a Carbon EDGE workshop?

The design of the Carbon EDGE workshops recognises that everyone will be at a different starting point when it comes to carbon. However, it is highly recommended that participants complete pre-work before attending to get the best out of the program. This includes the eLearning modules available on MLA’s Toolbox and complete a carbon account using MLA’s Carbon Calculator.
