Bursary application form
The Livestock Advisor Updates program is offering two $400 travel bursary for each event (six per year in total). These bursaries are designed support the costs for less experienced/new industry participants in red meat advisory roles to attend the Livestock Advisor Updates events.
To apply for a bursary, complete the bursary application form and tell us in 250 words or less how receiving a bursary to attend Livestock Advisor Updates events will benefit their producer clients and support their career. Applicants will also need to submit their CV, including two references.
Applications must be received by COB Friday 28 June 2019.
Bursary Guidelines
- Advisors with less than five years’ experience in providing consulting advice to livestock producers are eligible to apply.
- Age is not a barrier to applying, however, applicants must be currently employed in a livestock industry advisory role.
- Two bursaries will be awarded per region per year (i.e. 2 west, 2 south and 2 north).
- The bursary may be used to cover event registration and contribute towards travel costs. Where the latter isn’t applicable then the applicant should indicate in an additional 200 words or less how they will use the remaining bursary amount to further their professional development.
- Bursary applicants will be assessed by the Livestock Advisor Updates working group, and applicants notified by COB 22 July 2019.
