Add value to your services with BredWell FedWell
The BredWell FedWell (BWFW) program is a hands-on, one-day workshop, demonstrating how effective breeding and feeding strategies can improve on-farm productivity, with a particular focus on key profit drivers.
Agricultural Business Research Institute (ABRI) and Phillips Livestock Solutions coordinate BWFW events on behalf of Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA). The program was redeveloped in 2023, reflecting an evolving understanding of best practice genetics and livestock nutrition.
Benefits of hosting a BWFW workshop
Hosting a BWFW event helps guarantee a workshop is run in your client’s area with conditions relevant to their production systems.
It also delivers additional benefits for you and your clients, such as:
- Gaining a better understanding of their enterprise’s profit drivers by learning from an accredited BWFW deliverer who understands local conditions.
- Building awareness of their business through promotion of the BWFW event and the opportunity to share their on-farm strategies with other producers.
- Connecting and building relationships with other producers and new or existing clients through shared knowledge and increased understanding of alternative business and breeding objectives.
- Expanding your network by connecting with your local extension staff and service providers to promote the event more widely.
- Helping to lift industry performance by sharing valuable learning opportunities with other producers.
BWFW MLA project manager, Mitchell Plumbe, said the opportunity to host a BWFW workshop is more than just understanding your clients' profit drivers.
“It gives you the chance to expand your network and connect with new and existing clients,” he said.
