Want to know more about on-farm safe food practices? Then check out LPA Learning a new 30-minute electronic course which explains:
- the on-farm practices required to meet the five elements of LPA
- how to apply the LPA requirements to procedures and tasks in your work
- how to prepare for the assessment required to recommit to the LPA program.
A short video explains the program more.
“It’s vital all producers understand their food safety responsibilities,” said Kevin Roberts, Chair of the Livestock Production Assurance Advisory Committee.
“LPA Learning supports producers to implement the on-farm practices required to deliver safe red meat to our domestic and international customers.
“With the national trend towards reduction in public extension services and the remote locations of many producers, online learning is a cost-effective way to deliver training.”
Since 1 September 2016, producers seeking LPA accreditation for the first time must work through LPA Learning, and then successfully complete a 10-question assessment before they can become accredited.
