Summary
MLA and AWI conducted a sheep industry survey every February, June and October, to assess the production capability of Australia's sheep flock. The survey covered the key aspects of sheepmeat and wool production, including lambs and breeding ewes on hand, lambs intended for sale, and numbers of sheep to be shorn. The information collected assisted MLA, AWI and other stakeholders with supply forecasting and research and development needs.
