Summary

This project resourced the industry consultation associated with the investment call and regional consultation program.

​This Company Managed Agreement (CMA) funded Regional consultation investment call costs for 2020-21, including:

Red Meat Panel expenses
Expert panel chair and members sitting fees and expenses
Southern Producer Panel sitting fees and expenses
Western Producer Panel sitting fees and expenses.
Investment priorities identified through regional consultation framework and were developed into Terms of reference and the 2021-22 investment call was conducted.
Producer panels, technical expert panel and red meat panel reviewed and made recommendations to MLA on projects for funding.
Funds in the project also were used to allow MLA staff to attend regional consultation meetings and associated expenses.

Objectives

To provide the inputs and resources required to run the regional consultation and investment call processes.

Benefits to industry

The Regional consultation investment call process facilitated the recommendation of research and development (R&D) projects across the on-farm productivity programs. These projects were directly linked to regionally identified issues.
