Summary
This Company Managed Agreement (CMA) is to fund non-contract invoices for the MLA Feedlot Program during FY25. This includes printing and formatting of MLA feedlot publications, development of media for feedlot extension, meeting expenses for consultation with lot feeders/consulting nutritionists/veterinarians, sitting fees for the feedlot tender selection panel, and travel expenses for feedlot project management for grainfed levy funded projects.
Investment in these areas is integral for the adoption of feedlot program R&D outcomes by the industry.
Key outcomes for FY25:

This included Antimicrobial Stewardship guidelines and factsheets, automated bunk management and feed delivery factsheets, euthanasia guidelines and posters.
Printing and distribution of final reports and information packs for ALFA BeefEx 2024. - Meetings with MLA/ALFA in August and February where results of feedlot manure and effluent value adding, bovine appeasing substance and the next iteration of the feedlot welfare assessment framework were presented.
- Sitting fees for the MLA feedlot program tender selection panel which met four times during FY25 and had three out-of-session reviews by the panel.
- Expert nutrition and veterinary advice to support project protocols and milestone reviews.
