Summary

This project delivered the development and upgrade of the Meat Standards Australia IT system (myMSA) to enable the new myMSA Registration and Member Management sub-system.
The new myMSA framework allows for work to be carried out on any of the individual 13 myMSA sub-systems without disturbing other sub-systems or system as a whole.

Objectives

The consultant achieved the following objectives/system upgrades for the new myMSA Registration and Member Management subsystem:
1. Enhanced user access levels and functions
2. New MSA registration management functions including Abode sign for all new licenses
3. Enhanced user management and new member types including AUS-MEAT
4. CRM integration of new changes
5. Reporting abilities including history tracking
6. Administration role management by MSA staff.

Key findings

The development of the new myMSA members and registration subsystem has enhanced usability and management of new and existing MSA members. The ability to run maintenance and development on individual subsystems without impacting system as a whole is invaluable for the myMSA system that is required around the clock by industry.

Benefits to industry

This project enabled enhanced useability and management for new members across the supply chain registering for MSA and greatly enhanced internal administration management of all members in myMSA and ensured continued integrity of MSA’s internal and external software systems.

Future research

No further investment is required in relation to the myMSA Registration and Member Management subsystem at this time. However, system maintenance for myMSA systems is ongoing and required.
