ACC will host Queensland Country Life’s first Food Heroes event at the Brindley Park feedlot near Roma on February 10.

Guests attending the showcase will be given a tour of the feedlot before joining a forum where a panel of beef experts will discuss issues facing their industry.

Speakers will cover the big three current themes for our livestock and beef industries; environmental sustainability, animal welfare, and how beef's green credentials will shape the industry’s future.

The beef representative panel will also discuss what consumers want when it comes to red meat (the physical product and the supporting story) and how buyer behavior and expectations are changing in today’s fast-paced food industry.

The panel of speakers will include chairman of the Red Meat Advisory Council Don McKay, Australian Country Choice general manager David Foote, Coles red meat manager Chris Nicklin, AgForce cattle board director for Southern Inland Queensland region Janet Reddan, and MLA’s chief marketing and communications officer Lisa Sharp.
