Nutrition EDGE is a three-day workshop and practical session covering all aspects of animal nutrition, including how nutrition affects animal growth rates, financial returns and market access.

Participants will be able to make better decisions to achieve their herd performance targets through improved breeder fertility, weight gains, reduced mortality, optimal use of supplements and overall management.

Attending this workshop will help you to:

  • better understand the nutritional requirements of your cattle and sheep
  • estimate the feed value of pasture and animal production
  • know what supplements to feed
  • understand a feed label
  • save money on supplementary and drought feeding
  • make better management decisions for a range of seasonal conditions

Registration details

Cost:

Cost GST inclusive: $1,625* / 1st person from a business subsidised  (Normal price is $1,925 / 1st person) and $1,295* / 2nd person from a business subsidised   (Normal price is $1,595 / 2nd person)

Please note:  *The subsidy is only available to eligible primary producers who derive most of their income from their properties.  The normal price charged for this workshop will apply to everyone else wishing to attend.

Subsidies have been kindly provided by: SW NRM - $100/person and DAF “Grazing Futures Project” - $200/person

Suitable for both beef and sheep breeding operations.
