Each module will provide a wealth of knowledge to producers, resellers and veterinarians.
Agenda:
- Hamish Chandler, Program Manager - Genetics, MLA - Australian cattle market update and projections; The role of genetics in underpinning performance in beef breeding enterprises
- Dr Fiona Kelk, District Veterinarian, Local land Services and Matt Lieschke, Senior Land Service Officer Livestock, Local Land Services - Condition scoring as a tool in cattle breeding enterprises (including yard demonstration and assessment) plus determining and achieving critical mating weights of heifers
- Dr Stuart Williams, Veterinarian, Yass Valley Veterinary (Event Coordinator) - Optimising joining periods plus bull management and health for successful joinings and longevity (including yard demonstration and assessment)
- Peter Reardon, Senior Territory Manager – Livestock, Zoetis Australia - Reproductive disease awareness and management, Pestivirus, Leptospirosis and Vibriosis
- Dr Alex Stephens, District Veterinarian, Local Land Services - Problem solving low reproductive rates and Pestivirus management options
