The free-to-attend event will address regional energy fairness, showcase the region’s role as a renewable energy leader, and discuss the role of renewables and community engagement and value in the Great South Coast.

The day will kick off with an outdoor presentation of the Powercor Lidar-equipped Helicopter and Muster Truck as we talk energy infrastructure safety and community resilience. We will be sharing an update on our partnership with one of Australia’s first facilities for safely testing and optimising hydrogen technology – Hycel at Deakin University – and our work towards scaling hydrogen fuel cells into dairy transport. Dr Anne Astin, Chair of the Food Agility CRC will speak on the CRC’s work in energy. We will also have a video from the Victorian Energy Minister, Lily D’Ambrosio who unfortunately can’t attend in person. Wannon Water will share their journey to decarbonisation.

We will talk about the south west’s renewables boom, the need for 3-phase power upgrades, community amenity and value, and the need for regional energy fairness.
