Heavy Land Field Day | Mingenew WA

The Yearly MIG spring feild days brings farmers and industry together to discuss new farming technologies and the extension of information, assess various trials and demonstration sites that assist them to better implement best practise farming methods and increase resilience in ever changing climates. The ongoing drought and now more so the recent cyclone events have increased the need also for networking and coming together with a common goal. The event will generally start in the field. Attendees are given the opportunity to view each trial and understand the research being undertaken. The day will also include presentations from various experts covering the latest research and trending issues within rural communities and the industry. The day is finished with a sundowner BBQ with proves a fantastic opportunity for networking and socialising within the community. In the past a major focus for MIG was cropping trials but more recently a shift to also cater for livestock producers in the region is occurring.
