MLA event types

MLA runs a range of events and workshops designed to deliver the practical outcomes of R&D activities and inform producers about the range of marketing activities. These events aim to increase the confidence, knowledge and skills of people involved in the red meat industry.

National MLA Events

Red Meat Held in conjunction with the MLA AGM, Red Meat is a flagship event for Australia's red meat industry. It is open to all local and interstate producers and industry stakeholders. 200+
MLA AGM Held in November each year members receive the financial statements, directors’ report and audit report and consider director elections and member resolutions. 200+
Productivity and Profitability webinars A series of webinars are designed to assist Sheep, Cattle and Goat producers to increase the productivity and profitability of their businesses. Online

Livestock Advisor Updates Livestock Advisor Updates are regionally relevant, one-day technical workshops. The workshops provide opportunities for livestock advisors, leading producers and professional extension consultants.

Livestock Advisor Essentials The Livestock Advisor Essentials program consists of three two day workshops and a mentorship program aimed at providing essential skills for livestock consultants, stock agents, veterinarians and others working as an agricultural advisor. 10 - 30 Southern
MeatUp Forums Designed to give southern cattle, sheep and goat producers information and tools they can implement in their businesses. 50 - 90 Southern
Beef Champions Network Genetics networks developed as part of the Genetics adoption plan. Beef champions is targeted at upskilling services providers in the private and public sector.   Australia wide
Livestock genetics forum Biannual forum run to highlight and ensure producers are aware of the genetics investments via the NLGC, aimed at NLGC priorities. 50- 100 Australia wide
