Pilot Carbon Accounting Virtual Workshop | Beef & Sheep

MLA and Integrity Ag and Environment are holding a series of pilot carbon accounting workshops for Australian red meat producers. 

Producers who attend this workshop will be assisted in generating a carbon account for their operation. Calculating baseline carbon emissions and stored carbon is an essential first step for producers wanting to ensure continued access to markets and capital as customers, consumers, and investors are increasingly seeking to do business with producers with strong environmental stewardship credentials.

The workshop is being run as a webinar over two sessions:

• a 1:1 pre-workshop video conference (45 mins to 1 hour) with the workshop facilitator, Steve Wiedemann of Integrity Ag and Environment.
• a group webinar (3.5 hours).

The pilot workshops are being used to inform design of a carbon accounting training package for the industry to be released later in the year and participants will be asked to provide information for a series of case studies.
