The Southern Grassfed Carcase Competition | Naracoorte, SA

There has been a cancellation of the awards presentation, the feedback sessions and public announcement of the results and benchmarking including the dinner to be held 12/6/2020 In Naracoorte South Australia due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The carcase competition and results will still proceed.

The Southern Grassfed Carcase Classic and inaugral Southern Grainfed Carcase Classic are a significant benchmarking opportunity for producers, their carcases and cattle businesses.

The grassfed section for the past 3 years has been the largest in the southern hemisphere if not the world. The feedback given is significant on every detail that is measured on the carcase and benchmarks against the rest of the competition. The grainfed section is a new development and will also include feedlot health and performance as well as comprehensive carcase comparison. 

The feedback is collated with the assistance of the Meat Standards Australia (MSA) team and a formal presentation evening is held, giving a comprehensive data review designed to encourage on-farm change and continuous improvement.
