Expressions of interest for MSA upskilling open!
Meat Standards Australia (MSA) is calling for expressions of interest (EOI) from livestock advisors to access carcase feedback upskilling opportunities. The sessions will also provide information about how producers can influence carcase traits on-farm to deliver greater impact.
What is covered in the MSA sessions?
Participants will:
- understand what MSA is and how the program supports the entire supply chain
- understand key traits affecting eating quality and their influence on the MSA index
- gain knowledge about practice recommendations to reduce non-compliance and optimise carcase quality
- gain detailed information about carcase feedback systems
- be able to benchmark to national, state, and regional data
- troubleshoot to understand bottom-end outliers and how to maximise top-quality ones.
Upskilling sessions include train-the-trainer, producer group workshops, or one-on-one sessions.
If you are interested, please complete the EOI survey and the MSA team will make contact with you.
