Global exposure builds Aussie red meat connections

14 Oct 2025

Each year, major international trade shows provide opportunities for the Australian red meat industry to showcase its strengths to customers worldwide. They offer Australian exporters and brand owners the chance to connect with new buyers, strengthen relationships with existing partners and introduce innovative products and brands to global markets.

Trade shows remain an integral part of MLA’s program to build and sustain Australia’s reputation as a top exporter of high-quality beef, sheepmeat and goatmeat. MLA works with exporters and brands to coordinate exporter participation and promotion of the Australian red meat industry under the Aussie Beef, Lamb and Goat brand.

MLA enhances the experience at these events by organising cooking demonstrations and sometimes provide fully equipped kitchens for exporters to prepare and promote their products.

At these global events, Australian red meat competes against other proteins but also against other major producing nations like the United States, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, India, and countries across Europe. Trade shows provide opportunities to demonstrate the unique characteristics of Australian red meat in comparison to other global suppliers. This includes highlighting the focus on sustainable production, consistency and grading, and high safety standards.

Trade shows are increasingly seeing visitors from not only the region within which the event is held, but attendees from across the globe. This allows opportunities for exporters and brands to reach customers from around the world at a “one-stop shop”.

Find out more about upcoming trade shows and how you can get involved, by visiting the trade show section of the Aussie Meat Trade Hub.
