WA producers: Experience lamb like never before
Producers are invited to meet Meat & Livestock Australia's (MLA) visiting international Lambassadors who will compete in a live cooking challenge at the Western Australia Meat Marketing Co-operative (WAMMCO) AGM.
Since its launch in Japan in 2015, the Lambassador program has grown to a community of 50+ food professionals worldwide, playing an important role in the global promotion of Australian lamb.
A standout of the program is the Australian Lambassador tour, where world-renowned chefs participate in a hands-on paddock-to-plate experience. This immersive tour includes farm visits and expert-led masterclasses covering every aspect of lamb – from butchery techniques to cooking, plating, and storytelling – equipping participants with an appreciation for the quality and provenance of Australian lamb.
In October, the Lambassador tour is heading to WA and will be featured at WAAMCO’s Annual General Meeting. Lambassadors will compete in a live cooking challenge – each creating dishes inspired by their home regions.
All local producers are invited to attend, sample the creations and help select the winning dish!
Alongside the cooking challenge, attendees will hear about the latest global trends from MLA’s international markets team as well as sheep industry research and development updates. If you’re keen to sample lamb cooked by world-class chefs and learn more about what’s happening in lamb, both in Australia and around the world, register now!
