Summary

The OJD Harvest Year forum and workshop was the latest in a series of annual events to provide the research community and other interested parties an update of recent research in Ovine Johne’s Disease.

The national program that evaluated options for the future management of Johne’s disease in sheep ceased in June 2004. The decision of industry was to adopt assurance based trading arrangements. There have been important outcomes of the research (summarised in appendix 1, page 108) and a number of significant projects that ended during 2004. The outcomes of this research was communicated to industry during 2004 and 2005.
