Summary

This project conducted the 2012 matings for the Sheep Information Nucleus Flock (Resource Flock), generating approximately 5,000 lambs sired by selected sires from Merino, Maternal and Terminal Sire breeds. The ewes were run at UNE, (Armidale) and Katanning (WA) research stations under the overall supervision of the Sheep CRC.
The data generated was accumulated in the Sheep CRC INF database for the CRC research programs and, where appropriate, was used by the Sheep Genetics program to improve existing, and deliver new, breeding values to industry.
