Summary
The project developed a communication strategy for the implementation of the cattle and sheep standards and guidelines (S&Gs) in such a way that it can be readily implemented by interested parties. In addition, a generic communications strategy was produced which is relevant and adaptable for future species-specific S&Gs as they are developed. The consultant sought feedback from members of the AAWS Livestock and Production Animals Working Group and other industry stakeholders. The steering committee for the project consisted of representatives from MLA, Animal Health Australia, RSPCA, Dairy Australia and state departments of primary industries. The project was funded by the Australian Governement, MLA and Dairy Australia.
