Summary
This is a report that has been used by the Livestock Export Industry and produced a comprehensive report which:Provides a review of auditing methods in operation across industries, including advice on additional tools or methods that would support improvements in the existing or proposed auditing structures under ESCAS. Provides a comparative analysis of domestic and international auditing regimes (eg. meat and food) with the ESCAS auditing framework.Identifies inefficiencies or flaws in the current or proposed ESCAS auditing systems.Interpretation and management of information contained within audit reports.Factors that compromise the integrity of auditsSystems and information management toolsReviewed DAFF's approach and management of ESCAS non-compliances and provides an assessment against other relevant models for managing breaches. Provides advice on models that would better facilitate self-reporting and cooperative corrective action
