Summary
Japan-Australia EPA / FTA: Beef Differentiation
In order to aid the positioning of Australian beef in the Japan-Australia Economic Partnership Agreement (JAEPA) negotiations, evidence was compiled on the lack of competition between Australian and Japanese domestic beef in the Japanese market.
The final report was used as confidential input into the JAEPA negotiations and submitted to Australia's trade negotiators (Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Free Trade Agreement Division).
