Summary
Queensland's agricultural colleges are undergoing a rejuvenation process, aimed once more at providing young people with the skills to grow Queensland's rural sector. This rejuvenation process was carried out with the guidance and support of industry through scholarships funded by key industry partners.
Through the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, The Hon John McVeigh, Minister's Agricultural Colleges Fund, the Government has initiated the program by making available 10 scholarships worth $10,000 each for students to attend the Longreach Pastoral College (LPC) and Emerald Agricultural College (EAC) in 2014.
