Summary
The Science and Innovation Awards for Young People in Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry is a competitive grants program that supports people aged 18-35 years to undertake a project on an innovative or emerging issue that will contribute to the ongoing success and sustainability of Australia's agricultural, fisheries and forestry industries. The awards aim to encourage the uptake of science, innovation and technology in rural industries and to assist industries improve productivity, sustainability and adaptability through the provision of science and innovation in research, development and extension. The Awards extend from biophysical sciences to social sciences from a broad disciplinary base.
