Summary

Associate Professor, Kim Bryceson, Associate Dean of the Science Faculty of the University of Queensland will be leading and facilitating a Supply Chain Program for the Food Value Chain Innovators - Emerging Leaders’ program.

Associate Professor Bryceson will develop the Emerging Leaders’ capability by:Designing and delivering a customised three-day intensive program that introduces them to Agrifood Supply & Value Chains with a focus on practical issuesLeading a “Walk through the Chain” approach that introduces the Emerging Leaders to providers at all levels of the Supply ChainProviding support (via phone and email) with each Emerging Leader, to follow-up on the project initiated during the residential programAttending, reviewing and judging the business cases proposed by the Emerging Leaders as a result of their Supply Chain work at the third residential program (March 2017)
The outcomes of the program for the Young Food Innovators will be a practical understanding of Supply Chain considerations, having been applied to a real world project at a company level. It is anticipated this project will lead to a direct return in new products, services or market access for the host company.

The impact of this program will be measured by looking at the full two-year period of the Young Food Innovators’ placement.
