Summary

The 2018-19 Beef Industry Breakfast series has continued to deliver industry engagement with three themed events in Brisbane. Each event has showcased current or recently completed MLA R&D activities or topics relevant to the beef industry.

In the 2018-19 period three beef Industry Breakfasts were conducted;

  1. MSA - The Meat that's great to eat at UQ Customs House Brisbane, Thursday 15 February 2018. Facilitated by Mr Michael Crowley MLA,
  2. Capturing the value of UAVs on farm - pushing drones to new boundaries for the beef industry at Brisbane EKKA Grounds - Main Arena and Stockmen's Bar & Grill,  Thursday 18 October 2018. Facilitated by Mr David Smith Cere Tags and
  3. Animal welfare – the cornerstone of industry sustainability at Brisbane Power House New Farm, Tuesday 26 March 2019. Facilitated by Dr Johann Schröder MLA.

The breakfast series have attracted 60 – 80 participants per event including those from the industry, service providers, universities, state agencies (DAF), and CSIRO and potential partners.
